SIP Launches Fast Track Investment Procedure to Accelerate Support for Social Purpose Organisations

[Hong Kong, 13 May 2025] – Social Impact Partners (SIP) is making it simpler and quicker for local Social Purpose Organisations (SPOs) to access its short-term working capital loans.

SIP’s new Fast Track Investment Procedure simplifies SIP’s financial due diligence processes while upholding rigorous standards for assessing the impact and financial health of a prospective investment.

“The Fast Track Investment Procedure reflects SIP’s commitment to evolving alongside our SPO partners,” said Josephine Price, Chair of SIP. “We aim to provide timely, flexible capital that enables sustainable growth without compromising transparency or due diligence.”

Fast Track loans offer short-term working capital to help SPOs manage cash flow during periods of growth, project expansion, or operational scaling—particularly when facing delays in receiving revenues or committed funding.

To proceed to evaluation, each proposed investment must align with at least one of SIP’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) focus areas: SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), or SDG 13 (Climate Action).

Applicants undergo an initial screening focusing on profitability, repayment capacity, operational efficiency, and sustainable cash flow. Legal, management, and ESG due diligence are conducted with support from SIP’s strategic partners.

Post-investment, SIP monitors financial performance, ESG compliance, and impact outcomes on a quarterly basis. A tailored Post-Investment Action Plan supports each SPO’s growth trajectory.

“Due diligence can be challenging, but it mirrors how the private market operates,” said Lillian Li, Executive Director of SIP. “The process helps SPOs assess their market readiness and ultimately positions them to attract private investment.”

This new framework marks a significant step in SIP’s mission to strengthen capital deployment strategies and better meet the evolving needs of the impact ecosystem.

A registered S88 charity in Hong Kong, SIP empowers sustainable SPOs by applying private sector investment tools to develop scalable solutions. Funding—via grants, loans, or equity—is tailored to the SPO’s stage and need. Recovered capital is recycled to support future investments.

For enquiries or to apply, SPOs can contact SIP at info@siphk.org.
